Doors
The first introduction to any house you see is always the front door, and if this is old or shabby, neglected or badly fitted, then the visitor will have an extremely negative impression as they enter.
The same applies to the back door and any other doors that open to the outside. If they become warped, cracked or dilapidated, with paint peeling off and the wood starting to rot then it’s high time they were replaced.
Most people are now replacing, not with another similar door that will all too soon start to deteriorate and succumb to the heat and the weather, but instead with a door that will not only survive the elements unscathed for years but also enhance the look of their whole house.
If you are house proud (and most home owners are) then you’ll know how essential it is to have doors that not only fit well but look good, and in keeping with the rest of your home. And you’ll want them to be as maintenance-free as possible, so they only need a quick wipe down occasionally, and sometimes some oil on the hinges and locks.
At Call Mum we are regularly called upon to advise our customers on what kind of doors (and doorframes) should be chosen to go with their existing or proposed new decor. It is important for doors to match adjoining walls and floors, so, for example, if you have invested in timber decking or an enclosure then your doors will look out of place if they are not in a compatible style and of comparable quality.
Sometimes a standard sized door is the obvious choice, but often a better and more aesthetically pleasing solution is found by, for example, widening the entrance and fitting a bi-fold or tri-fold door. This allows for the opening up of the complete entrance way in hot weather or to cater for the arrival of large numbers of people at a garden party or other outdoor event (see some of the photographs here).
Why should I choose Call Mum to supply and fit my replacement doors?
We were one of the first companies in Australia to supply replacement doors, and have extensive experience of advising on the type and style of door to fit any given entrance. Our consultants will attend personally to inspect the entrance ways and advise on which style would best suit the situation.
Often replacement doors are installed at the same time as other replacement items, such as decking, and in this event our advice covers all products being installed.
We use only the best quality materials, selected for their durability and lack of flaws. Our craftsmen measure up in detail and produce the exact specifications. They then prepare the finished product and fit it to your requirements.
And don’t forget we have an unconditional 6 year guarantee on all our products and services. So if it’s replacement doors you’re looking for, just . . . Call Mum.
